Shirley Davis-Fox MBE
CEO & Chair of the Board

Shirley co-founded ISA Training in 1998 and is proud to manage the largest independent Hair & Beauty Training Provider in Wales.

Shirley is Vocational Champion and World Skills Ambassador for Hairdressing and the Political Lobbyist for the Hair Council.

Shirley wants hairdressing to be a professional career choice and campaigns for regulation of the Hair and Beauty Industry. Shirley is passionate about giving all our learners every opportunity to succeed in this diverse and professional industry.

Lucy Macdonald
Programmes Director

Lucy was promoted to Programmes Director in January 2018 and has worked for ISA since 2006.

During her 12 years with ISA Lucy has gained a deep knowledge of the company through roles in administration, health and safety, compliance and quality as well as a Masters Degree in Management.

Lucy’s aim is to work closely with the board to grow and improve the business and enhance our learners’ experiences throughout their apprenticeships as well as introducing fitness and leisure programmes alongside our successful hair and beauty programmes.

Richard Tobutt
Operations Director

Richard joined ISA in January 2018 to take up the newly created role of Operations Director. Prior to joining ISA, Richard worked for SkillsActive for 15 years, he was National Manager for Wales for 12 years before becoming Head of Home Country Development.

Richard has worked across a broad range of sectors including sport, fitness, hair and beauty which are closely aligned to the work of ISA Training.

Richard’s aim is to ensure that we continue to be recognised at a Government level in both Wales and England as a well-placed organisation that delivers quality.
