Salon Cymru is the Showcase Component of the ISA Training Brand.

Salon Cymru is a contemporary competition open to ALL Hairdressing & Beauty learners from schools, colleges and training providers. Inspiration for the exciting, innovative categories is taken from modern icons and what is happening NOW in the world of high fashion.

Salon Cymru enhances collaboration between Work Based Learning, Colleges, Employers and Manufacturers by bringing them together to support this fantastic event.

Past winners have seen their careers take off in many different ways, from competing in the Paris Internationals as part of the Junior British Hairdressing Squad to appearing on primetime TV!

    • Bradley Robinson went on to win Jamie’s Apprentice on ITV’s This Morning in 2011 and later was employed at Nicky Clarke Salons
    • Laura Kelland competed for Britain as part of the Junior British Hairdressing Squad at the Paris Internationals in 2009
    • Josh Rees-Hole went on to win the Welsh Government’s Modern Apprentice of the Year 2009, competed for Britain as part of the Junior British Hairdressing Squad at the Paris Internationals in 2009, and came 3rd in E4’s Great British Hairdresser 2011
    • Nik Petrakis went on the claim second place in Nation’s Favourite Hairdresser in 2010 and reached the last 18 of E4’s Great British Hairdresser 2011
