Hairdressing has been part of Sam’s life since she was 8! Sam joined ISA in 2003 after managing a salon starting as a Training Consultant and is now part of the Senior Management Team.

Sam is responsible for the Internal Quality Assurers (IQA) and Essential Skills Managers. Sam’s team supports ISAs Training Consultants and Educators to stretch and challenge their learners along with safeguarding and wellbeing. Sam’s team is also responsible for ISA’s Job Growth Wales provision.

Sam is accountable for embedding Welsh Language within ISA Training ensuring all learners have the opportunity to carry out their qualifications in Welsh or bilingually.

Sam’s highest qualification achievement is ILM at level 7.

Following a successful career as a salon manager/ assessor, Simone joined ISA as a Training Consultant in June 2005 recently becoming an Internal Verifier providing support to the England Team to ensure the quality of delivery.

Simone enjoys “ being out on visits with the assessors, meeting learners and listening to their views.” Simone is a member of the ISA’s Resource Group and would ultimately like to become an External Verifier for Hairdressing.

Natasha joined ISA as a Training Consultant in January 2006, following a career as a Senior Hair Stylist and assessor in Gloucester.

Natasha Takes pride in delivering the ultimate learning experience. “Presenting certificates to the learners when they qualify and the interaction with so many salons” are the favourite parts of her role.

Natasha is a member of ISA’s Standardisation Panel and would ultimately like to become an External verifier for an Awarding Body.

Louise has been hairdressing since she left school and owned and managed salons before joining ISA in 2008.

Louise delivers Hairdressing and Barbering NVQs and Essential Skills delivering theory and practical training and assessing learners’ competencies.

“Watching my learners progress in their chosen profession, gaining the skills, knowledge and qualifications to achieve their goals is the best part of the job” says Louise whose personal goal is to achieve the Verifiers Award.

Lisa owned her own salon before joining ISA as a Training Consultant in 2005. Lisa is now an Internal Quality Assurer for the East and West Wales Team providing advice and support to assessors and verifying all NVQ programmes and cites “supporting the Training Consultants in the team” as the most rewarding part of her role.

Kate owned her own salon before joining ISA in March 2011. Kate is the friendly face of ISA, visiting salons to assist them with their training requirements. Kate also organises ISA’s Programme of Short Creative Courses.

Kate is proud of all the new salons she has introduced ISA to and is proud when “salons who have never heard of ISA join our training programmes and really benefit from them”.

Susan worked in Further Education before joining ISA in 2006. Sue works in schools delivering Learning Pathways in Hairdressing to pupils aged 14-16 which involves teaching theory in the classroom and assessing the pupils during their placement in commercial salons.

Sue especially enjoys “working with pupils with special needs, this is an extremely rewarding part of my role”

Sue is working towards her verifier’s award and Management Level 3 Qualification.
