Elizabeth struggled to figure out what she wanted to do after A-levels but turned her passion for make-up and beauty into her future career. She is now working towards her Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification at Beau Belle salon.
Finding the right path
I decided to study an apprenticeship after completing my A-levels. I was unsure of what I wanted to do as I always thought university would be my next step. I couldn’t find a university degree that interested me so decided to enter the beauty industry.
Making a career out of a passion
Beauty was always my background as I ran a makeup business from home, however I had to stop due to the pandemic and being busy with my A-levels. I heard about apprenticeships through word of mouth and it all fell into place.
Hands on experience
I enjoy working in the salon environment as it's the most realistic way of learning. You get to see how a salon works behind the scenes.
Looking to the future
I hope in the future to have my own beauty business offering multiple treatments based off what I enjoy doing the most.
We understand that it can be hard to know what to do after A-levels – and university isn’t for everyone. Apprenticeships offer an alternative form of education. You receive a recognised qualification whilst earning and gaining real work experience.
We offer a large variety of beauty qualifications including make-up, massage and nail services.
