For Employers

ISA Training are now offering Level 1 Traineeships through partnership working with Rathbone.
Taking a Trainee in Hairdressing, Barbering or Beauty is the ideal way to help you find your next Apprentice.

What is a Traineeship?
Traineeships are for young people who want to work, but who need extra support to gain an apprenticeship or job.  Traineeships are fully funded and the trainee will receive £30-£50 per week plus help with their travel expenses.  There is no cost to you as an employer if you start a Trainee in your salon.

How does it work?
The Trainee will spend 3-5 days a week with you in your salon, for a period of up to 9 months, working towards a Level 1 qualification. ISA Training Consultants visit the Trainee in the salon at least once a month to assess the technical units of the Level 1 NVQ and essential skill qualifications.

How do I find a Trainee?
Trainees are aged 16-18, speak to us directly as we may have young people waiting to start in your area. Careers Wales may also have young people on a waiting list.

What is expected from me as an Employer?
We would like you to commit your time to training and developing the Trainee and setting time aside to review progress with ISA’s Training Consultant at each visit.
Timesheets will need to be completed, signed and sent in weekly in order for the Trainee to receive their allowance.
