Busy and Productive Start to the New Year

What a great start to 2017.

It was fantastic to return again to Coleg Sir Gar on Monday to meet Nicola Griffiths and 49 students. The students were all so interested and keen to register to become SRHs and SRBs, I am looking forward to seeing a rise in registrations when they all achieve in June. Nicola was very receptive to the concept of the Pre-Registration Scheme for students, the principles of the scheme have now been forwarded to the Management Team there, for consideration to start in September 2017. What progress!

I attended the full meeting of The Hair Council on Tuesday, our registrations are up and members are as passionate as ever to move the campaign forward and there are more exciting developments to come. Watch this space.

I took the opportunity whilst in London to meet with Connect to discuss Brexit and what it means for our sector and more importantly how we can use what is happening to influence the aims of the Hair Council.

And to round off the week I had a long meeting with my local AM Huw Irranca Davies this morning who is totally supportive of the campaign. We discussed many ideas for engaging with AMs pan Wales to gain their support. I was delighted when Huw told me he would be happy to sponsor an event, maybe even two events, in the Senedd to support the campaign and raise awareness.
