Busy Day in Westminster

Fantastic and proactive day yesterday gathering support for the #getregstered campaign.

The day started early with a Breakfast Briefing in Westminster, led by Chris Elmore MP for Ogmore, where I presented the findings of the EIA on the value of the Hair & Beauty Sector to the Welsh Economy to 8 MPs including the Shadow Welsh Secretary. In attendance were: John McNally – Chair of APPG for Hair,
Christina Rees MP Neath, Liz Saville-Roberts MP Dwyfor Meirionnydd, David Hanson MP Delyn, Chris Elmore MP Ogmore, Mark Tami MP Alyn & Deeside, Jessica Morden MP Newport and Ian Lucas MP Wrexham. There was great support for the #getregistered campaign.

I then attended a Hair Council Strategy Meeting with CEO Keith Conniford and later that afternoon we held the APPG, again in Westminster where we discussed the political and parliamentary mechanisms available to amend the existing Act of Parliament where a Senior House of Commons Clerk was in attendance to advise us.

Home now and looking forward to a sell-out Salon Cymru on Sunday!
