Elev8 – Hair & Beauty in Schools
ISA Training, part of the Educ8 Group, is proud to deliver our Elev8, our new Hair & Beauty programme, offering a a hands-on, City & Guilds-accredited course designed for learners aged 14–19.
Delivered directly in schools, this programme offers a practical, engaging alternative to traditional academic routes, helping young people gain real-world skills, recognised qualifications, and the confidence to progress into further training or employment.
What is Elev8?
Our Hair & Beauty course blends theory and practice in a realistic salon environment, led by experienced, industry-qualified tutors. Weekly 5-hour sessions cover:
- Shampooing and styling
- Skincare and basic beauty techniques
- Health, safety, and hygiene
- Customer service and client care
Alongside technical training, learners build transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, literacy, and numeracy.
Pathways
From Entry 3 to Level 1, with flexible unit-based accreditation, many learners progress into Level 2 courses, apprenticeships, or roles within the hair and beauty sector

What happens after your hairdressing course
Once you have completed your Level 2 Hairdressing qualification, you can progress onto our Level 3 course. Continue to hone your skills and advance towards higher paid job roles.
If your salon specialises in type 4 hair, you can develop your skills in afro and multi-textured hair. We are proud to be Wales’s first training provider to offer the opportunity to specialise in type 4 hair.
You will be invited to attend our annual graduation ceremony Gradu8, where you can celebrate with friends and family in achieving a nationally accredited qualification. Further expand your skillset with a Level 2 or 3 apprenticeship in Barbering, Social Media for Business or Digital Marketing.
