We’re excited to announce that ISA Training is now offering short taster sessions through Elev8 Explore, an exciting addition to our Elev8 vocational schools’ programme. These sessions are designed to provide short, practical sessions within schools, allowing them to explore vocational learning.
Elev8 Explore is the perfect opportunity to help students explore different careers through hands-on learning experiences, allowing them to discover new skills and make them aware of the opportunities available through alternative learning pathways. Highly qualified tutors deliver these sessions and are suitable for pupils in years 10 and 11 exploring post-16 options, enabling them to explore exciting possibilities in the hair and beauty industry.

What’s available?
Elev8 Explore consists of Taster Days and Skills Burst sessions designed around our hair and beauty qualifications. Both sessions are intended to fit easily into the school timetable to help pupils gain valuable experience in industries that will inspire them to think about their future careers.
Pupils will experience:
• Hands-on activities in basic hair styling, nail art, and beauty techniques
• Introduction to salon standards, professional behaviour, and client care
• Opportunities to explore career pathways in hairdressing and beauty therapy
• A supportive environment that encourages teamwork and creativity
Taster Days
Our Taster Days are high-energy and hands-on, giving pupils a fun, practical introduction to the hair and beauty These 1–2-day sessions give pupils the chance to explore the exciting world of hair and beauty while building confidence and developing practical skills in a fun, professional environment.
Our taster days are perfect for those considering a vocational career and wanting to get a sense of what it’s like to work in hair and beauty. These sessions also provide insight into progression routes towards the full City & Guilds Level 1 course.
On completion, pupils will receive a certificate of participation. A taster session can help you decide whether Elev8 is the right fit for your school’s vocational training. After completing a taster day, we are delighted to arrange an Elev8 Explore Skills Burst course or the complete Elev8 course.
Skills Burst
Our Skills Burst sessions consists of one weekly session over the course of 4-7 weeks. These sessions can be scheduled around your school’s calendar, and we will work with you and the pupils to find a time that works for everyone. Weekly sessions allow students to experience what it’s like to complete a qualification and to consider future opportunities such as apprenticeships.
On completion, pupils will receive a certificate of participation and an introduction to the Level 1 City & Guilds framework. The Skills Burst sessions can help you decide if the complete Elev8 course is right for your school and help pupils to obtain important insights into the world of apprenticeships and vocational learning structures.
Time to Elev8 Explore
Elev8 Explore will allow pupils to develop a strong foundation of skills for the hair and beauty industry. With the support of their tutors, Elev8 Explore will help them gain confidence and skills whilst broadening their horizons for the future to consider vocational learning as a pathway towards a fulfilling career.
